How to use it
- 1Add 2 to 8 places, your own first. India and a few common cities are listed to begin with.
- 2Pick the date and set the working hours: 9:00 to 18:00 unless you change them.
- 3Hours inside everyone's working day are ticked. Pick an hour in the grid by tapping it, or with the arrow keys.
- 4Copy the times to paste into WhatsApp or an email, or download an .ics invite for Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best time for a meeting between India and the US?
With New York, the start of the US day is evening in India: 9 AM in New York is 6:30 PM in India during US summer time and 7:30 PM in winter. With California, 9 AM there is 9:30 PM in India in summer and 10:30 PM in winter, so someone always meets outside their working day. The planner shows the least bad hours for your date.
How do I add the meeting to my calendar?
Pick an hour, type a title and press Download .ics. Open the file, or import it in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. The event is saved in UTC, so it shows at the right local time for everyone you send it to.
What do the colours and icons mean?
Green with a briefcase is inside working hours, amber with a sunrise or sunset is early morning or evening, and grey stripes with a moon are night, from 10 PM to 7 AM. A tick marks the hours that are inside working hours for everyone.
Does it handle summer time?
Yes. Every hour is worked out for the date you pick, so the grid stays right in the weeks when the US and Europe change their clocks on different dates.
Is anything sent anywhere?
No. The planner runs in your browser and the .ics file is made on your device. Your places and working hours are remembered only on this device.
