Who runs this site

QuickUtils is run by UnoByte Digital. If you have a question about this page or about your data, write to us through the Contact page.

What the site records

To see which tools are useful and where they go wrong, the site records how it is used: the pages you open, how you arrived (for example from a search engine, an AI assistant or a link), how long you stay and how far you scroll.

When you use a tool, it records the options you picked (such as the target size or output format), how many files you added, their type and rough size (such as “under 1 MB”), how long the work took, whether it worked and, if it didn't, the error and how far it got. Files are described only by their type and rough size.

It also records your type of device, browser and operating system, your screen size, how much memory your device reports, the country your connection comes from, how fast pages load and errors in the site's own code. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is not stored.

An anonymous ID in your browser

To count how many people use each tool, your browser keeps a random ID in its local storage (not a cookie). It isn't linked to your name, email address or any account. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it, and a new one is made on your next visit.

What you send us

Feedback you give on a result, the “Can't find what you need?” box, searches on this site and messages from the Contact page are stored with the same records. Please don't include personal details in them. If you give your email address on the Contact page, we use it only to reply to you.

Who can see it and for how long

The records are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and only UnoByte Digital's team can read them. They aren't sold or shared with advertisers.

Usage records are deleted after 13 months, and contact messages after a year.

Your choices

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track”, the site doesn't record your visits. Feedback and requests you send are still received, without the ID.

Your language and your light or dark theme are saved in your browser so the site opens the same way next time.

Downloads from other services

Some tools download what they need the first time you use them: background removal gets its model from Hugging Face and its engine from jsDelivr. Those services see an ordinary download request from your browser.
